2018 Camp Letter To Parents
Welcome to Camp Anothen’s story and thank you for trusting us with your kids. While here, your child will participate in what is considered traditional camp activities like swimming, fishing, archery, kayaking, teambuilding, arts and crafts, large group games and more. As a Christian summer camp we will also include morning bible studies. These are short 5 to 10 minute stories pulled from the gospels that focus on the life of Christ.
We are constantly looking for ways to make camp fun while inviting the campers to experience something unique to modern youths. Our activities are designed to spark creativity, wonder and excitement. Studies show that in doing these activities we inspire courage, foster critical thinking and build resilience.
The American Summer Camp Tradition is over a hundred years old and we are so glad that you are joining the more than 11 million American families this summer in sending your child to camp.
After each week we will ask you to fill out a camp family survey. We use your feedback to change and improve our program. Please look for these surveys at the end of each week - but - don’t wait on the survey if you have something to point out. Please contact your counselor or me with any questions or concerns.
Below you will find important information that will help you and your camper prepare and enjoy the time with us.
Please complete the included forms and return them to the camp before the first day of your session. Your Camper will not be able to participate in camp activities without the completed paperwork.
*Returning Families only need to re-submit paperwork for children if your information has changed.
