At Camp Anothen, we love seeing how the smallest discoveries can become the biggest adventures. Our Discovery Camp is a Christian day camp on 22 acres in Mansfield, Texas, where curiosity, imagination, and new friendships have room to grow. Whether your child is discovering bugs, splashing at the water table, or proudly showing off a handmade craft, there’s something special about experiencing camp for the first time. Through outdoor exploration, creative play, and simple Bible stories, we introduce potty-trained 3 year olds - 5 year olds to the joy of camp while sharing the love of Jesus. At the heart of it all is Fun. Safe. Gospel. We want your child to feel welcome, encouraged, and excited to come home and tell you about their day.
What to Expect
Who Can Attend: Children ages 3 through 5 years old. Campers must be potty trained and turn three before their camp week begins.
Little-Camper Adventures: Nature exploration, creekbed discoveries, pirate ship play, crafts, and hands-on fun.
Splash & Play: Splash Pad, Swimming pool, and water-table fun. Discovery campers wear life jackets while swimming in the pool and do not swim in the ponds.
Faith & Friendship: Age-appropriate Bible stories, songs, and shared play that help little ones learn about Jesus and connect with friends.
Time to Recharge: A daily indoor rest time with a camp-provided nap mat.
