A Letter from our CEO/Founder

After 11 consecutive summers of serving campers and families, Camp Anothen will not hold summer camp in 2027.

Since 2022, the cost of operating camp has increased significantly. During that same period, I have watched many summer camps across the country permanently close as they faced similar challenges.

After careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to pause Camp Anothen’s summer programming for 2027.

I believe faithful stewardship in this season means taking the time to strengthen what has been entrusted to us rather than simply continuing for the sake of continuing.

During this pause, we will invest in our people, strengthen the systems that support camp, and care for and improve the facilities that make Camp Anothen possible.

This is a pause with a purpose.

We are actively and thoughtfully working toward welcoming campers and staff back to Camp Anothen at full capacity in the summer of 2028. Enrollment will open again in September of 2027.

We are deeply grateful to the families, campers, staff, and friends who have been part of Camp Anothen over these past 11 summers. Thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and being part of this ministry.

Thank you,

David Williford, Founder & CEO
