Fun. Safe. Gospel. is more than a motto at Camp Anothen—it is our daily mission.

Our staff are typically from Mansfield or the surrounding Cities. Our counselors are highschoolers and collage-age young people who are carefully selected through an application, interview, reference-check, and training process.

All adult staff must complete third-party background screening before working at camp, including a Multi-Jurisdictional Database and Sex Offender Search with Identity Research.

All staff are trained in child safety, emergency procedures, abuse prevention, camper supervision, and Camp Anothen’s Never Alone / Rule of Three policy.

These are non-negotiable standards that help protect campers and staff, support transparency, and build a culture of trust across our camp community.
