At Camp Anothen, our love for camp goes hand in hand with our love for Jesus. As a Christian outdoor day camp in Mansfield, Texas, we want children to experience the joy of adventure while getting to know the God who created them. We believe faith is meant to be lived out together—through encouragement, meaningful relationships, and serving others with love and purpose. Our hope is that the time campers spend here helps them discover more about Jesus and the Gospel, while our staff grow in their own walk with Christ. Fun. Safe. Gospel. brings that purpose together: outdoor adventures, intentional care, and a faith that reaches beyond the camp day.
Camp Anothen is not affiliated with one particular church or denomination. We bring together people from different Christian backgrounds with a shared purpose of introducing campers to Jesus and remaining faithful to God’s Word.

What We Believe

We believe in one eternal God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who created all things for His glory.

We believe people are created in God’s image. Our statement affirms biological sex and corresponding gender, and marriage as a lifelong, exclusive union of one man and one woman, with sexual intimacy reserved for marriage.

Faith in Everyday Moments
Learning about Jesus is part of life at Anothen. Bible lessons and devotions are woven into the camp experience alongside outdoor activities and time with friends. For our youngest campers, that includes Bible lessons alongside creative play and exploration. For teens in our leadership program, faith connects with opportunities to serve and learn through mentorship. Across our programs, we want campers to discover that faith belongs in everyday life—not just in a single lesson.
