Summer staff at Camp Anothen are at the heart of everything that happens at camp. They are the ones cheering campers on as they try something new, laughing alongside them during the best parts of the day, encouraging them when something feels hard, and showing them what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life.

We want staff members who love Jesus, love kids, and are ready to serve.
Our counselors and summer staff should be dependable, encouraging, energetic, teachable, and willing to put the needs of campers before their own. We look for people who understand that being a great counselor is about more than leading activities—it is about being someone campers can trust, look up to, and feel safe around.

Our staff are expected to be attentive, dependable, and committed to creating an environment where every camper is known, encouraged, and cared for. Summer staff are prepared to follow Camp Anothen’s safety expectations, policies, and training so they understand what it means to care well for the campers entrusted to them.
