Leadership in Training Camp

Leadership in Training — becoming confident, Christ-centered leaders

Leadership in Training

Where Campers Become Leaders

Leadership isn’t just taught—it’s lived. Our Leaders-In-Training (LIT) Camp equips teens to step into leadership with heart, faith, and real-world experience.

Designed to feel like a first internship, the LIT program trusts teens with real duties, team projects, and counselor support. They are held to high expectations, helping them grow in maturity, confidence, and accountability.

But unlike a job, the LIT experience is packed with epic camp fun! Between responsibilities, teens jump right into the action—kayaking, archery, swimming, ropes courses, and big group games. It’s the perfect mix of life preparation and unforgettable summer adventure.

L – Leadership

We lead by example—with integrity, humility, and a servant’s heart. As LITs (Leaders in Training), we take initiative, support others, and grow into role models who reflect God’s love in both word and action.

I – Integrity

We do the right thing, even when no one is watching. We’re honest, dependable, and consistent—building trust through our choices and honoring our commitments in all we do.

T – Teamwork

We serve together, grow together, and encourage one another. We believe in the power of community and know that by working together with respect and compassion, we create a stronger and more joyful camp family.

  • Completed 7th–9th graders (up to age 16). LITs will be under the direction and guidance of our LIT Leadership as well as all Anothen Directors.

  • Choose one or both sessions and from there, you will let us know which weeks within that session that you would like to attend. Availability forms go out in May, so we will know in advance when to expect your camper!

  • Bring a packed lunch, ready to eat. Campers will not have access to a microwave. Snack Shack is available daily ($1/item), plus LIT Campers receive a free Friday snack!

  • LITs adhere to the same rules, guidelines, and standards as our staff and campers. Camp Anothen reserves the right to dismiss any LIT for violations.

  • Our Bible studies are created by Jim Rose, our Discipleship Director.
