Leadership in Training Camp

Leadership in Training — becoming confident, Christ-centered leaders

Leadership in Training

Where Campers Become Leaders

Leadership isn’t just taught—it’s lived. Our Leaders-In-Training (LIT) Camp equips teens to step into leadership with heart, faith, and real-world experience.

Designed to feel like a first internship, the LIT program trusts teens with real duties, team projects, and counselor support. They are held to high expectations, helping them grow in maturity, confidence, and accountability.

But unlike a job, the LIT experience is packed with epic camp fun! Between responsibilities, teens jump right into the action—kayaking, archery, swimming, ropes courses, and big group games. It’s the perfect mix of life preparation and unforgettable summer adventure.

  3. On their committed weeks, Leaders-in-Training are asked to be at camp from 7:15am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

  4. LITs will need to bring their own lunch but will have the opportunity to buy items from the Snack Shack and receive a free snack on Fridays.

  5. LITs must follow the same rules, guidelines, and standards that our counseling staff and campers follow. Camp Anothen reserves the right to dismiss an LIT for violations of our rules, guidelines, and standards or for any reason deemed adequate or necessary by our staff.

L – Leadership

We lead by example—with integrity, humility, and a servant’s heart. As LITs (Leaders in Training), we take initiative, support others, and grow into role models who reflect God’s love in both word and action.

I – Integrity

We do the right thing, even when no one is watching. We’re honest, dependable, and consistent—building trust through our choices and honoring our commitments in all we do.

T – Teamwork

We serve together, grow together, and encourage one another. We believe in the power of community and know that by working together with respect and compassion, we create a stronger and more joyful camp family.
