LIT Camp
Where Campers Become Leaders
Leadership isn’t just taught—it’s lived. At Camp Anothen, our Leaders-In-Training (LIT) Camp equips teens to step into leadership with heart, faith, and real-world experience. We set the stage by immersing LITs in meaningful responsibility. Teens support younger campers, help maintain our campgrounds, and contribute to team projects—gaining hands-on leadership skills from day one.
The LIT Program is designed to feel like a first internship—a chance for teens to step into responsibility, contribute in meaningful ways, and learn what it takes to be part of a team. Just like in the workplace, they’re trusted with real duties and held to high expectations, helping them grow in maturity and accountability.
But unlike a job, the LIT experience is filled with the epic fun that makes Camp Anothen unforgettable. Between responsibilities, LITs get to jump into the action—whether that’s kayaking, ropes course, archery, swimming, or joining in the excitement of big group games. It’s the best of both worlds: leadership training that prepares them for life beyond camp, and all the joy, laughter, and adventure that makes summer at Anothen so special.

L – Leadership
We lead by example—with integrity, humility, and a servant’s heart. As LITs (Leaders in Training), we take initiative, support others, and grow into role models who reflect God’s love in both word and action.
I – Integrity
We do the right thing, even when no one is watching. We’re honest, dependable, and consistent—building trust through our choices and honoring our commitments in all we do.
T – Teamwork
We serve together, grow together, and encourage one another. We believe in the power of community and know that by working together with respect and compassion, we create a stronger and more joyful camp family.
